JD Logística en Salud: their website on AWS, paying only for what it uses
JD Logística en Salud had its website on traditional hosting. CloudTing moved it to AWS and, when we saw the cPanel license cost more than the value it gave, we moved it to Amazon Lightsail.

jdlogisticaensalud.com ↗The starting point
JD’s website, built on WordPress, lived with a traditional hosting provider. It worked, but on someone else’s server, with no control over the infrastructure and none of the flexibility of the cloud.
Step one: migration to Amazon EC2 with cPanel
CloudTing ran the full migration to AWS: we set up an Amazon EC2 instance in the client’s own account, installed and configured cPanel, and moved the site.
Step two: Amazon Lightsail to cut costs
After several months in production we reviewed costs with the client. The cPanel license was paid every month and barely used: the site did not need a full hosting panel.
We decided to move to Amazon Lightsail on Linux. The site is still the same WordPress, now with a fixed monthly price and no cPanel license.
What we learned
Not every site needs the biggest architecture. For a monolithic WordPress like this one, Lightsail covers what is needed at a predictable price. Reviewing costs after a migration is part of the job, not an extra.
